What type of roof vacuum do you use? They use a commerical grade vacuum to clean ceiling that has Hepa filters to remove even the really fine dust . As well as removing animal droppings, dust, leaves and debris, we also remove any builders rubbish found. The vacuum stays in a trailer on the ground and it has a long hose that we take up into the roof.
How do you remove cellulose fibre insulation? We use a specially designed commercial vacuum that has the ability to remove heavy particles, this means cellulose fibre insulation is removed safely unlike shoveling which could damage electrical wires. The end result is the ceiling is vacuumed clean also removing any old dust and animal droppings.
Why should I get a ceiling vacuum? Often you have old dust, animal droppings, old carcasses, leaves and builders rubbish in ceiling cavities. This can cause allergic reactions and health issues. It is advisable to have the ceiling cleaned after removing rats, possums and pigeons, which will have left droppings in your roof. Pigeon droppings especially can carry many diseases and should be removed immediately. We can clean pigeon droopings from on top of roofs and gutters as well as from inside the cavity.
Can you vacuum a super 6 /abestos roof? Yes, we can vacuum in a super 6 roof or after it has been replaced, however their is an additional charge for safety equipment. If the super 6 roof is still on we also have to take the vacuum hose into the ceiling through the manhole as we cannot lift the roof.
Can you do a vacuum when there is insulation in the roof? No, to be able to vacuum a roof effectively the old insulation needs to be removed. Which is why we recommend vacuuming before you install new insulation. However we can also do insulation removal before vacuuming and then install new insulation for you after the ceiling is clean.
How do the servicemen get into the roof? To clean the ceiling we usually access the roof space by temporarily removing iron or tiles to take the vacuum pipe into the roof. This also ensures no dust goes into the house. Our experienced Brisbane servicemen will ensure the roof is secured properly again.
Can you clean the ceiling in the raked or flat verandah section of the roof? Yes, but we have to remove the roof sheeting to access the cavity.
How long will it take to do a ceiling vacuum? An average house of 120 square meters takes about 4-5 hours to complete a ceiling vacuum.
